State Convention is finally here!

Despite the convention contention that we have felt over the past few weeks, the time has come for us to fulfill our delegate duties and vote for our new Executive Committee, Constitution and Bylaw changes, as well as our first new Platform in over eight years—and for those of us in CD3, vote on our nominee for the soon to be unoccupied Jason Chaffetz seat.

I am not asking you to show up just to come and vote for me to be our next State Chair; I want you to show up because this is how we move forward. This Saturday will decide the course of our party for at least the next two years, so participating is imperative.

Whatever the outcome, please know that I am deeply committed to this party, because I am committed to the stewardship of our Democratic family.

Convention Chaos!

Oh boy, oh boy! This is going to be quite the weekend! Tonight is the Chris Stewart Town Hall at Richfield High School, located at 495 W Center Street in Richfield, begining at 7pm. If you’re able to make it, please do so he can hear from Congressional District 2 constituents exactly how you feel about the job he’s done representing you. I will be attending this event as well, alongside the Sevier County Democratic Chair, Garon Coriz, who was one of the first people to endorse me and someone I am proud to call a friend and ally.

Saturday is going to be a big day for all of the State Executive Committee candidates. We have FOUR conventions in one day! That’s a lot of Utah miles to cover in a day, but it will be so worth it because driving around this state is postcard worthy and makes a fabulous road trip.

Sevier County – 9am: 75 E Center Street, Richfield.

Kane County – 10am: Little Hollywood, 297 W Center Street, Kanab.

Washington County – 3pm: Dixie State University in the Holland Room, St George.

Iron County – 6pm: Southern Utah University, Sharwan Smith Student Center in the Starlight Room, 351 W 200S, Cedar City.

Utah and Juab Counties, It’s Convention Time!

Who doesn’t love spending the day surrounded by friends and family? Well, that’s what’s happening tomorrow, April 15, 2016, when both Utah and Juab County have their Organizing Conventions. I will be attending both and I’m looking forward to all the excitement that convention brings.
